Abstract

Valuing complex financial instruments requires simulations of cash flow patterns in volatile interest rate environments. Because these simulations are computationally intensive, their use has thus far been limited to interday analyses and planning. The user and research communities have turned to computer systems with highly advanced architectures, such as parallel and vector supercomputers, in search of more performance.
