Abstract

This paper treats the problem of determining the feedback gains of robust tracking control systems. The tracking control is called robust if it achieves asymptotic tracking of the command reference input for all admissible values of uncertain parameters. In recent years, many papers treat this robust tracking problem but the transient characteristics of the response are hardly considered there. In this paper, therefore, a numerical method is proposed especially paying attentions to the transient characteristics. It makes use of eigenvalue assignment and eigenvalue and eigenvector sensitivities. An example shows that the proposed method is effective and gives the considerably good transient characteristics for all values of uncertain parameter.
