Abstract

With the rapid development of HVDC transmission and the increasingly complex structure of DC networks, DC power flow control and short circuit fault problems become prominent. Based on the technology of interline direct current power flow controller and fault suppression, this paper proposes a new compound controller for power flow and short-circuit fault in DC grid. The device can not only realize the flexible adjustment of power between two lines, but also curb the short current and cut off the fault line in time. The operating principles and control strategy are introduced in a three-terminal meshed grid. The performance is validated by simulation in PLECS.
