Abstract

We report the pulsation characteristics of the δ Scuti star HD 74028, a low-amplitude pulsator in the Praesepe cluster. Amplitude spectra of 126 hr of observations spanning 16 nights indicate multiperiodic pulsation behavior. We identify three frequencies, f1 = 22.6652, f2 = 23.8505, and f3 = 20.5254 cycles day-1, and find four additional candidate frequencies, f4 = 17.3060, f5 = 12.0643, f6 = 14.8160, and f7 = 17.1143 cycles day-1. This complicated frequency distribution requires an explanation that includes rotational splitting.
