Abstract

A survey is given of the Gent-Budapest cooperative work on the evaluation of nuclear activation and decay data for use in absolute (n,γ) reactor neutron activation analysis. Special attention is paid to the following parameters: isotopic abundance, 2200 m.s−1 cross-section, absolute gamma-intensity, resonance integral to thermal cross-section ratio, effective resonance energy, half-life, and k0-factor - a composite nuclear constant nowadays available with high accuracy. The present state of the art, including data for 80 isotopes, is summarized in a comprehensive report, which is available on request.
