Abstract

This article consists of an integrative review aimed at elucidating the relationship between territory, capital and regional development. The relationship that lies at the heart of these three variables has been little analyzed in the literature, requiring more methodically systematized studies that can shed light on this symbiosis. In order to produce this text, a state-of-the-art review was carried out, collecting data from three sources and selecting 12 articles published between 2017 and 2022. It was prepared using well-defined stages, which helped to synthesize the ideas. The results showed that regional development is intrinsically related to the development of capital and associated with the territory, which is defined in a material or immaterial way and is closely aligned with the conditions of capitalist reproduction, whose dynamism and performance directly impact on the intensity of regional development.
