Abstract

As a common system in industrial systems, high order system has faced some control difficulties. This paper studies some control strategies of active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) and improved ADRC for a typical high order system. By comparing the control performance of tracking and disturbance rejection for the nominal system, simulation results illustrate that the first order nonlinear ADRC, the first order linear ADRC, an improved fifteenth-order nonlinear ADRC, an improved fifteenth-order linear ADRC and an improved first order linear ADRC have the similar control performance, a modified ADRC with time delay (DADRC) has an obviously fluctuation and modified ADRC (MADRC) has the best control performance in tracking and disturbance rejection. Besides, the robustness test also conforms these ADRC control strategies have good robustness. The comparison study indicates a promising prospect of ADRC and improved ADRC in the future industry.
