Abstract
Of all diseases associated with aging, Alzheimer’s disease and memory impairments are the most stressful for the family and home caregivers. The purpose of this study is to explore the dynamics of care-giving for Alzheimer’s and memory-impaired patients in both countries and to compare the differences and similarities between the feeling of burden and caring values of the home caregivers for elders in both societies.
