Abstract

AbstractThe steryl ester fraction of coconut and palm kernel oils has been separated and analysed by gas chromatography (GC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The gas chromatograms of the steryl ester fractions of the oils are rather similar, but the liquid chromatograms show important differences which may represent a basis for distinguishing between the two oils.
