Abstract
AbstractIn this article we present the nonlinear simulations of a matrix amplifier and compare its power‐handling capabilities to those of a two‐stage distributed amplifier. The simulations confirm our hypothesis of better performances of the matrix over the usual distributed topology both in higher output power level and lesser harmonic distortion. The somewhat larger number of active devices, as compared with other topologies, makes the matrix topology particularly well suited for monolithic implementation. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
