Astute observers have realized the importance and necessity 6f the centric jaw relation position for the development of an occlusion that is in harmony with the entire stom~ tognathic system. The development of air turbine cutting instruments, fully adjustable articulatgrs, indirect impression techniques, and improved casting procedures has influenced the profession to a greater acceptance of the concept of complete occlusal reconstruction.
