Abstract

Abstract A maze was used to determine the relative effectiveness of delay periods of 7, 15, and 30 sec. in dynamic and static visual feedback in maze tracing. Static feedback involved a view of the tracing only, whereas dynamic feedback was afforded by videotape replay of the action of tracing the maze. The 102 subjects were randomly assigned to the two feedback conditions and the positioning of the three delay periods within each condition, so that there were 17 subjects in each of the six experimental groups. Significant F ratios were obtained for ordered trial effects but not for experimental effects.
