Abstract
Pollen is a major environmental health concern in Las Vegas, NV, as it causes extensive allergic reactions in the population. Monitoring of outdoor pollen levels and types is essential, but the conventional method of counting pollen manually is time-consuming and labor-intensive, producing only 24-hour data. Pollen Sense (Provo, UT) has developed an automated sensor that relies on artificial intelligence, whereby pollen is collected and counted in real-time. The sensor needs to be evaluated for accuracy for different environments.
