Abstract
Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is raising technology in today’s global network. MANET is an assortment of self-organized mobile nodes which are limited in all resources like memory, battery power etc. Because of limited battery powered nodes, energy efficient routing is one of the main challenges in MANET. This paper gives brief introduction of Zone Routing protocol (ZRP). It is a hybrid protocol used in MANET. In this paper we discuss how ZRP is made energy efficient routing protocol that can be used in MANET for efficient routing.
