Abstract

AbstractTo reasonably forecast the crack initiation characteristics of fretting fatigue, this study evaluates the accuracy of several damage models. The existing experimental and simulation investigations are compared, noting the similarities and differences in the crack initiation location, crack orientation angle, and crack initiation life predicted by various damage models. It is crucial to employ a reasonable and reasonable damage prediction model of fretting crack initiation life, as fretting fatigue, a phenomenon of mechanically fastened connecting parts, can considerably reduce the fretting fatigue life of the components. This paper compares the fatigue damage prediction models of fretting fatigue specimens under partial slip conditions, and it will help researchers understand the benefits and drawbacks of various damage models and give them the knowledge and foundation to select the more reasonable fretting fatigue damage model.
