Abstract

AbstractTwo different models for preducing the adsorption of protein on packed beds of resins are examined. The models are compared by predicting the experimental breakthrough curve of Bovine Serum Albumin on two different resins at different flow rates. The first model fits the experimental breakthrough curves better, but the second one fits them reasonably well and requires no separate measurements of an effective particle diffusivity.
