Abstract

This study examines the association of corporate strat- egy with multiple criteria of financial performance across national boundaries. Using data over a four-year period from Japan, Korea and h e United States, the study presents a multidimensional definition of corporate strategy. These dimensions are then modeled as predictors of three corporate performance criteria. The results show that corpo- rate strategy explains a significant portion of fmancial performance. In addition, corporate strategy relates differently to different perfor- mance criteria within and across the three countries.
