Abstract
This paper addresses the wise use and governance of (renewable) energy in cities. It is argued that cities are the action points par excellence for effective and efficient sustainable policy. Based on meta-analytic methods (in particular, rough set analysis) various energy-saving policies in various Dutch cities are compared with a view to the identification of critical success factors (in particular, urban growth, institutional ramifications and financial support).
