Abstract

A combination of microbial hydroxylation and lipase mediated hydrolysis insured access to chiral synthetic intermediates whose relative inaccessibility by conventional chemical means is obvious. Examples are given for allylic hydroxylations with Rhizopus arrhizus and ester hydrolysis with lipases.KeywordsRing ChiralPorcine Pancreatic LipasePentacyclic TriterpenesRhizopus ArrhizusSynthetic IntermediateThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
