Abstract

Objective To understand the demand of community elderly nursing service and the quality of life factors.In addition,to suggest better community nursing measures and imporve the quality of life in the elderly.Methods The object of study was the 388 elderly from two different communities in the city of Shenzhen,with self-care needs of the community survey and the quality of life comprehensive assessment table(CQOLI-74),including the quality of life,the demand of community care and the quality of life.Results The score of quality of life for the elderly was 61.71±9.85.the score of the care needs of the community was 2.52±1.03 and the score of the maximum demand on health promotion was 2.88±1.09.The major affected factor of community care was the awareness of community care,the number of sick and age;the major factor of impact on the quality of life of the elderly was the number of sick,the state of the economy,education,occupation,marital status,age,etc.There were negative correlation between the needs of the areas of community care for the elderly and the physical and psychological function of quality of life(P<0.05,P<0.01);the diseases nursing care and the demands of care was nagatively correlated(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusions Quality of life of the elderly community is low,the demand of community care is high,the quality of their lives and community care needs is a negative correlation.The community nursing should be based on the needs of the elderly,to improve the quality of their life.
