Abstract

본 연구는 현대의 생태위기 상황을 직시하면서 동학과 그리스도교의 생태사상을 고찰한다. 먼저 동학의 가르침을 집대성한 해월 최시형의 ‘삼경론’을 통해 경천-경인-경물사상의 참 뜻을 살펴본다. 이어서 프란치스코 교종의 회칙 「찬미받으소서」를 연구하여 성서의 창조에 대한 올바른 해석과 생태 영성에 대해 다룬다. 해월의 삼경론을 통해 인간과 동식물뿐 아니라 무생물에도 한울(天)의 생명력이 미치고 있음을 밝히고, 경천-경인-경물을 통해 참된 인간으로 성숙할 수 있음을 고찰한다. 프란치스코 교종의 「찬미받으소서」를 통해 자연을 파괴해온 인간중심주의의 성서 해석적 오류를 바로잡는다. 또 착취와 남용으로 신음하는 지구와 가장 파괴된 곳에서 고통당하는 가난한 이들을 위한 통합생태론과 영성을 숙고한다. 이로써 오늘날 전 지구적 생태 위기 앞에서 지구 공동체적 책임 의식을 가지고 우주적인 친교를 이루기 위한 인간상과 사회 윤리를 제시한다.This paper examines the ecological thought of Haewol and Pope Francis. First, I explored the true meaning of Kyungcheon(敬天-Reverence for Heaven), Kyungin(敬人-Reverence for humanity) and Kyungmul(敬物-Reverence for things/nature). This Samgyeongron(三敬論-Three Worship Thought) was developed by Haewol who achieved a synthesis of teachings of Donghak in a very sincere way. Haewol, in his Samgyeongron(三敬論-Three Worship Thought), insisted that heaven s life force has positive effects on human, animal, plant and even to the inanimate nature, too. According to him, anyone can grow as a truly authentic person through Kyungcheon(敬天-Reverence for Heaven), Kyungin(敬人-Reverence for humanity) and Kyungmul(敬物-Reverence for things/nature). Then I examined an ecological spirituality through Pope Francis Laudato Si . This Encyclical Letter presents a profound spiritual reflection on the environment and creation. I pointed out the error of anthropocentric biblical interpretation with the help of Laudato Si . And I considered that the integrated ecology and spirituality for the earth which has been groaning in suffering and the poor in the destroyed environment. Finally, as we are on the brink of an ecological mega-crisis, this paper presented desirable human qualities and social ethics for cosmic communion by promoting the global community s responsibility.
