Abstract

This paper presents the electrical harmonic analysis of a single-phase single level matrix converter and a single phase two-level matrix converter for various load condition. The matrix converter eliminates the rectifier and dc link due to direct ac-ac conversion. Multiple PWM for multilevel (Two level) and normal sinusoidal PWM signal generation for single level have been used here. Simulation is performed for both single level and multi-level matrix converter. The results obtained here demonstrate a high performance matrix converter.
