Abstract

Geodetic monitoring has become a mandatory procedure in the construction and operation of buildings and structures during their life cycles. This is due to the need to improve the safety and sustainability of the structures. This research presents the results of a comparative analysis of the methods of stability of benchmarks in the Russian Federation. The analysis process was carried out for the five most famous methods currently used in the study of the stability of benchmarks to monitor engineering structures of different types and compared them with previous studies that dealt with the comparison between two or more of the five methods known in the Russian Federation. The study showed that the simplest and most well-known method used in analyzing criteria is the method of Kostechel and Chernikov. But it should be noted that the two methods cannot guarantee the correct selection of the most stable benchmarks unless the rating values for each criterion in the network are calculated and taken into account.
