Abstract

Objective. To assess the effect of frequency, configuration and cross-sectional area of wires and tyres to value their inductance. Results. Obtained relative values of inductance for induction for current supplies with hollow and solid squares cross-section of round, square and rectangular configurations. The comparative analysis and conclusions about possible minimize inductances for different shapes of cross-section, as well as for low and high frequencies. Practical significance. The results can be used to calculate mutual inductance of magnetic associated elements with the aim of assessing their impedance characteristics. Dependence of inductances on the frequency and the corresponding non-linearity causes harmonics, other than the fundamental frequency, which can significantly affect electromagnetic compatibility of magnetic associated element circuit and the efficiency of the whole system in terms of energy consumption.
