Abstract

Adapting to the ever-increasing digital business dynamics by leveraging digital technologies to improve operations is one of the key goals for almost any modern business. In this process of change, businesses need to update their ways of doing business and design new models, to avoid falling behind in competition with their rivals. Digital maturity models play a crucial role in guiding organizations in their approach to digital transformation, outlining the typical ways in which these transformations are accomplished. In this study, the development of digital maturity models, which are becoming more important day by day in today's business world conditions, is examined. Within the scope of the study, 42 maturity models were examined, criteria-based comparisons of the models were made, and priority areas and trends were analyzed. Thus, it is aimed to better understand the development of digital maturity models and to guide future studies by determining current model trends.
