Abstract
A new planar microstrip antenna with meander lines is presented for Television white space applications in the frequency band from 470-700MHz. In this antenna structure, meander lines have been used to achieve lower frequency resonance in UHF band with compact dimensions of 46mm × 46mm. The fabricated antenna exhibits a very good performance from 490MHz to 720MHz. The simulated results of proposed antenna are in good agreement with the measured results. The antenna can provide wireless broadband connection to many rural areas in due course of time.
