Abstract

A compact MIMO antenna with high isolation and a small size of 25×89 mm2 is presented. The proposed antenna consists of two planar-monopole antennas which is capable of covering 890–960 MHz and 1.88-2.69 GHz. To increase the isolation for the two operation bands, slot on the ground and parasitic elements are used. Both of simulation and measurement results show the isolation between two antenna elements is over 10 dB, and all the measured results show the proposed MIMO antenna is a good candidate for portable MIMO applications.
