Abstract
A compact gas spectroscopy sensor system based on a 245 GHz transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) fabricated in SiGe technology is presented. The frequencies of the TX and RX are tuned by applying external voltages at the voltage-controlled oscillators. For 2f spectroscopy, a frequency modulation is also applied at the TX. As a result, methanol spectra are presented, that exhibit a high signal-to-noise ratio of up to 560 and an acquisition time as short as 39 s, respectively.
