Abstract
This note provides a compact integer linear programming formulation of the personnel scheduling problem presented in the article by B. L. Kaluzny and A. Hill, INFOR, Vol. 49, No. 3, August 2011, pp. 221–231. This formulation is easily solved to optimality by available solvers and results in less total unmet demand (overtime).
