Abstract
Compact shielded high field magnets are required in a variety of fields including: electron microscopy, charged particle beam formation, and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy amongst many. We are using a novel winding method for HTS tape with no solder joints at the centers of pairs of pancake coils. The full cryostat has been manufactured and leak checked, and the modified current leads have been fabricated, ready for final assembly and tests.
