Abstract

The treatment results of the first 2 1/2 years of operation of a community-based facility using a social learning intervention for aggressive children are reported. The program was based on the treatment developed at the Oregon Social Learning Center and evaluated using the same measurement procedures employed in previous research setting evaluations: naturalistic observations, parent reports of symptom occurrence, and global ratings of improvement. All measures indicated that the community setting application obtained results comparable to those obtained previously. These results need to be viewed with caution due to the absence of a contrast or no-treatment control group and attrition in the sample during follow-up.
