Abstract

The use of pharmaceuticals is increasing every year worldwide. Proper storage of medicines is essential for the stability of medications. Each medicine should be stored on the specified storage condition, otherwise leading to many harmful impacts and affects the drug stability. An interventional study was carried out among the voluntary participants of Dakshina Kannada with a sample size of 150 with the help of Questionnaire and patient information leaflets (PIL). Informed consent has been obtained from voluntary study participants and the collected data was analyzed using Chi Square test and MS Excel 2017. During the pre-interventional study, it was observed that improper storage of medications was found to be high which were found to be reduced during post intervention. The study emphasizes on bringing awareness to the community and to educate people about the proper storage of medications.
