Abstract
Flood pose a récurrent thread to the population of Venezuela, primarily due to the characteristics of its basins and human activities in alluvial zones. While hydrometeorological phenomena contribute to flooding, human decisions regarding land use intensify the impact. This research project aims to provide comprehensive information and tools to empower the inhabitants of the Cardón Sector to mitigate flood risks effectively. Through a structured approach comprising four chapters, the project seeks to establish a precedent for addressing flood-related challenges at both the research and community levels.
