Abstract
This paper is a reflection on Scott Pytluk's “The Case of John” by a clinical psychologist and analytic candidate who is also a clinical sexologist. The reflection draws from the personal experiences, professional training and professional experience of an early-career gay male professional, and it highlights the sense of otherness and sameness that can exist between gay male therapists and gay male patients of different generations.
