Abstract

A model independent determination of the form factors ξ( q 2) and f( q 2) has been made, measuring, in intervals of q 2, the partial branching ratio Γ ( K μ3 +) Γ( K e3 +) and using the results of the K e3 + Dalitz plot density analysis. No experimental evidence has been found for a strong deviation from a linear q 2 dependence of the form factors. Within this approximation a combined analysis of the K e3 + and K μ3 + Dalitz plots gives the parameters λ 0 = −0.017 ± 0.011 or alternatively ξ(0) = −1.3 ± 0.7 and ξ(4.4 m π 2) = −0.45 ± 0.13, with in both cases a fitted value of λ + = 0.025 ± 0.007.
