Abstract

ABSTRACT Acob saver attachment was designed and constructed to attach to the rear of a conventional combine. The separated cobs were elevated into a trailing forage wagon. The performance of this prototype was encourag-ing, as the cob saver attachment salvaged about 78 per-cent of the cobs. About 11 percent by weight of husks and stalks remained with the cobs under the best condi-tions. Husks attached to cobs were not separated from the cobs
