Abstract
Colour-encoded focused image holograms have been investigated as a possible medium for micropublishing and related fields. A number of microfiche readers for the holograms have been constructed and demonstrated, and both master and replica fiche have been made. The system is superior to conventional colour microfilm in terms of resolution, colorimetry, and long term stability, and offers a considerable cost advantage.
