Abstract

2-dimensional (2D) block spread CDMA is able to achieve multiple-access interference (MAI) uplink transmission free in a slow fading channel. An important issue is how to efficiently assign the limited resource of spreading codes to users with different data rates to assure the requirement of quality of service (QoS). In this paper, a code assignment algorithm is proposed for the uplink 2D block spread SC-CDMA. Computer simulation is showed that the proposed code assignment algorithm achieves lower blocking probability than traditional CDMA.
