Abstract
A CMOS RF front-end with a linearized current-to-current converter and a gate switching mixer for multiband and multistandard mobile TV tuners is proposed. A linearized current-to-current converter and a gate switching passive mixer merged with the linearized current-to-current converter are proposed to improve the linearity of the RF front-end. It is fabricated in a 0.13-μm CMOS process and draws 13, 15, and 15 mA from a 1.2 V power supply at VHF, UHF, and L-band operation, respectively. It shows a gain of more than 32 dB, NF of less than 2.5 dB, IIP2 of more than 35 dBm, and IIP3 of more than −10.5 dBm across all bands. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
