Abstract
Several random key pre-distribution schemes have been proposed to bootstrap keys for encryption in recent years. In this paper, we present a new random key pre-distribution scheme using clustering according to the probability of node compromise in different deployment regions, which is suitable for large scale networks greatly. In each cluster, the deployment region is divided into multiple hexagons which give a better approximation of the circular wireless transmission coverage of a sensor node, and the q-composite keys scheme has been improved. The performance analysis shows that the scheme we presented can improve resilience against node capture greater than previous schemes.
