Abstract

Objective In order to evaluate the clinical curative effect of conventional western medicine therapy combined with self-prescription of Huoxue-Tongluo decoction on the patients with oviduct obstructive infertility. Methods A total of 120 patients meeting the inclusion criteria were divided into the treatment group and control group, according to the random number table method, each group 60 patients. The control group was given general fluid therapy after selective fallopian tube recanalization; the treatment group was oral self-prescription of Huoxue-Tongluo decoction on the basis of the control group. All the patients were treated two months. The level of TNF-α in serum was analyzed by ELISA method. After 2 months, the tubal patency was detected, and the pregnancy rates were recorded in follow-up after treatment of 9 months and 12 months. Results After treatment, the tubal patency rate (96.7% vs. 88.3%, χ2=5.312, P<0.05) in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group. After treatment of the follow-up 9 months and 12 months, the pregnancy rates (51.7% vs. 33.3%, χ2=4.126, P=0.042; 58.3% vs. 35.0%, χ2=5.271, P=0.010) of the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group. After treatment, the serum TNF-α (0.52 ± 0.20 ng/ml vs. 0.62 ± 0.15 ng/ml, t=3.098) in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P=0.002). Conclusions Self-prescription of Huoxue-Tongluo decoction combined with fallopian tube recanalization and fluid therapy could reduce the expression level of inflammatory factors, improve tubal patency rate and pregnancy rate. Key words: Infertility, female; Fallopian tube obstruction; Fallopian tube recanalization; General fluid therapy; Huoxue-Tongluo decoction; Tumor necrosis factor-alpha
