Abstract

A circular wide-slot ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with triple band-notch characteristics is proposed and investigated. The band-notch characteristics are achieved by using an arc-shaped stub (AS), a stepped impedance resonator (SIR) and a meander line slot (MLS). Experimental results verify the design and show that the proposed antenna not only provides a wide bandwidth covering the entire UWB band, but also exhibits triple band-notched characteristics to filter out the designated narrowband interference signals. The antenna is small in size, making it suitable for UWB communication applications.
