Abstract

In this paper, a circular truncated cone slot antenna radiating circular polarization conical beam is presented. The circular polarization property is realized by perpendicular slots cut on the outer conductor of the circular truncated cone, and the direction of the conical beam mainly depends on the lilt angle of the outer conductor as well as proper arrangement of the position of two slot arrays. The lilt angle is chosen to be 45° as an example and the beam of proposed antenna points at 45° from the boresight within the operating band 5.3 GHz ∼ 5.85 GHz.
