Abstract

This article attempts an elucidation of the meaning of ethics and its relation to a Christian perspective, particularly in communication. The starting point of the discussion is: creation. The author argues that for any study of human beings that starting point must always be the image of God. In that sense, it is impossible to seperate Christian ethics from a Christian perspective for communication. It examines the nature of ethical study, and describes the inherent relation of ethics and communication. It also shows how a Christian perspective is integrally related to a particular normative standard of ethics in communication.
