Abstract

As the concluding chapter to the book we draw together the arguments for engaging the voice of students as a means of developing a reform agenda leading to more democratic and participative social enterprises. We draw out concepts of respect, responsibility, reciprocity and trust as essential elements in transcending an instrumentalist, neo-liberal agenda for eliciting, listening and acting upon the perspectives of young people.
