Abstract
Abstract The quantum mechanics of a charged particle in the magnetic field of an infinitely long monopole-line is studied. We obtain two vector potentials with string singularities along the monopole-line, and in a half-surface respectively. An acceptable gauge transformation which transforms the vector potential from one to another requires an unexpected quantization rule.
