Abstract

In this paper, we present a novel channel model for indoor visible light communication (VLC) system with specular reflection. In contrast to the previous indoor visible light communication simulation models, our model is not restricted to diffuse reflection, with specular reflection considered. The simulation environment is set up in MATLAB and our model is capable of obtaining several channel characteristics such as the channel impulse responses (CIRs), the mean excess delay and the root-mean-square (RMS) delay spread, etc.
