Abstract

A “cell-scattering transformation” is proposed as a method for a cell-renormalization treatment of a single polymer chain without reference to the magnetic equivalence. In order to demonstrate the basic idea, the one-dimensional random walk problem is treated. Applicability of the method to more practical polymer problems is also discussed.
