Abstract
Autonomia EXPO is the largest annual event for people with disabilities in Greece. It is held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Athens and is organized by Disability NOW, a nonprofit organization managed chiefly by people with severe disabilities. The event constitutes the largest exhibition of products and services for disability, health, rehabilitation, special education, technology and independent living in Greece. It brings people together from throughout Greece and Southern Europe to share information to improve the lives of people with disabilities and to assist the caregivers and the healthcare professionals working with them. Nikos Voulgaropoulos, the man behind Disability NOW, described the EXPO in a talk given at this year's event:
