Abstract
Mobile phone services are becoming more and more significant throughout the world due to technological changes. In today's life mobile phone companies are offering new services to customers daily. Mobile phones have become necessity of life nowadays; Mobiles are technically advanced & have too many options like Hi-tech games, radio, and internet, downloading, etc. The study is based primarily on field data. The needed data were collected through structural interview schedule with administered to 100 respondents who are using cell phones. The respondents were selected from Coimbatore city using convenience sampling technique. The main reasons for preferring mobile phone was because ‘it is easy to carry’ and for the ‘better service’ and ‘call rates’. Extra facilities were not monitoring factors for the customers to own mobile phone. If a cell phone is user friendly, it is preferred by the customers. The customers of the current study stated that they did not experience any problem such as ‘Wrong calls’, ‘Unwanted SMS’, ‘Unwanted MMS’, ‘Virus formation’, ‘Coverage’ and ‘Volume adjustment’ while using mobile phones.
